Poor Kitty :-(
This morning’s bike ride revealed a sad sight: someone’s lovely ginger pussycat got himself (most gingers are male) run over hereish:
not far from the junction of Pool View and Barns Lane.
I moved the body before he got more squished, and came back with the car, and took him to Firstvets Aldridge (the nearest vet open today), and got him scanned for a microchip- sadly there wasn’t one.
He looked well cared for and had a collar, so someone will be missing their cat. If it’s you, my sympathy. Firstvets will keep the body for a while if you want to give him a decent burial. They reckon he wasn’t long dead, so it was probably this morning: we found him at around 9:20.

I had dead issues today as well – no UPS.

Must be catching; had a bigish one pack in at work the other week.

Must be the heat I think in my case. The batteries only have a certain life before they pack in – this one probably boiled.

How sad, we seem to have acquire a local cat, one twice a week pops in VERY hungry, though it does not seem to like going out the cat flap
Re UPS, the one in internal comms room in my office, (separate from main Telco kit) has set the smoke alarms off twice in 3 years, I think it has NO batteries in it at the moment, as the slightest blip causes the routers/ switches to reboot
DAMN annoying as I was migrated to a softphone last year !

UPS back – local company did very well.
We have three rather amusing cats that take residence in my garden and watch me watching them. In fact they have worn the lawn out!
I don’t hold out much hope for the black one though as he does take risks crossing the road a lot.

You paid someone to change UPS batteries? *shakes head sadly*

Yeah – I didn’t know you could do it otherwise I’d have paid you! 🙂
