Hinckley:
It’s a Wetherspoon. Not a bad one, by all accounts, and we got decent food on a Sunday evening, along with decent beer. Staff were pleasant, and the place was clean.

Just round the corner fromthis craphole, what a difference. Clean, pleasant, with a nice landlady who helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening, and great beer. It’s won CAMRA awards recently, with good reason.
Hinckley:
Unlike the last one, we didn’t warm to this. A craphole, dirty, noisy, with a foulmouthed barman and his mates, including two girls that seemed under ages. The bogs were filthy too. It’s a close second to this shithole for ‘worst pub on pubblog’.
Hinckley:
This didn’t give a good first impression: England flags, loud, vile dance music, and no ale. However, giving it a chance, we warmed to the place. Evidently an old pub, very traditional town drinker’s place. The landlord was very friendly, and sorted the music with something better from the jukebox. There might not have been ale, but there was Stella.
Hinckley:
Just-out-of-town traditional pub in a residential area. Decent ale, nice atmosphere, and pleasant staff. There’s TVs, but they were off when we visited on a Sunday, thankfully.
