Buckler’s Hard, near Beaulieu, Hampshire:
Blimey. That’s a mouthful of a name.
This is an actual hotel, and the name suggests, but it’s pubby enough to feature, I reckon. Buckler’s Hard is part of the Beaulieu estate, and is part museum. The hotel faces out over the river with an impressive view from the beer garden.
One problem: you have to walk here, or pay an admission charge which covers parking.
That aside, well, the scenery is lovely, but beer choice was limited at the outside bar, but there was barbecue food. Prices were highish, but that’s expected here.
