Just up the road from the Prince of Wales, this is a pretty standard community pub: no real ale, but the keg Banks’s was OK, the place was pleasant, and the landlord very friendly- enthusing about the darts & dominoes teams, so it must be doing something well.

What a pleasant pub. It’s had a good reputation for beer for ages, and from my visit this seems to have carried over to the new landlord. It’s a Holden’s pub, and the beer was excellent, and the landlord very friendly. There’s a conservatory and beer garden. I’m not sure about food at the moment.
