On Friday, we decided to drop out on a public transport pub crawl, and try to bag a few more entries for PubBlog<\/a>. We started in Walsall, and then decided to introduce a little randomness: we headed for the Cenotaph, away from the main bus station, and saw what was about.<\/p>\n

The answer was a 334, out along Wednesbury Rd. We realised that we’d never been in The Globe<\/a>, so we dropped in. Back out, a short wait saw us on another, so onwards to Darlaston<\/a>. The bus karma was still working OK later, when after a short walk, we travelled on to Bilston, and the Old White Rose<\/a>. At this point, our karma ran out: a bus to Sedgley and the Beacon Hotel<\/a>, but though the bus passed by it, it was closing. We thought we’d have a walk to The Summer House<\/a>, but that was also shut. After the walk, we decided to cut our losses: A walk back inside the West Midlands, a bus to Wolverhampton, and the Great Western<\/a>. Refreshed, we caught the very useful 908<\/a> to Wednesfield, a swift couple in the lovely Pyle Cock<\/a>, before the 908 proved itself less useful by terminating at Bloxwich, and the following Walsall-bound one not arriving.
