{"id":672,"date":"2006-11-11T19:20:26","date_gmt":"2006-11-11T18:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.piglet-net.net\/pigblog\/?p=672"},"modified":"2006-11-11T19:20:26","modified_gmt":"2006-11-11T18:20:26","slug":"wolverhampton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.piglet-net.net\/pigblog\/?p=672","title":{"rendered":"Wolverhampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we&#8217;ve been to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wolverhampton\">Wolverhampton<\/a>, largely because I keep my bank branch there, and we had to pick up some US Dollars for a trip to land of the free and the thick, but also because we haven&#8217;t been there for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.piglet-net.net\/pigblog\/?p=432\">a while<\/a>, and we really like it. It&#8217;s commonly knocked by people that don&#8217;t know it, but it&#8217;s a nice place. It feels a bit more citylike than <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Walsall\">Walsall<\/a>, but isn&#8217;t far away. It&#8217;s got lots of pubs, and a distinctly low-rent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wlv.ac.uk\">University<\/a>, that would be a whole lot better with any form of competent managment ;-P. (note for former colleagues likely to read this: you know who I mean!)..<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, we have had a remarkeably good day: The cold I developed on Friday has subsided, we got our US$ sorted out, got the plug adaptor (for Zaurus &#038; mobile phones), got some guide books, met a friend for lunch, and got moderately drunk. Oh, and there weren&#8217;t any <a href=\"http:\/\/www.piglet-net.net\/pigblog\/?p=671\">fuckwitted wastes of oxygen<\/a> on the way back.
