We spent yesterday as tourists in Birmingham. That is to say, we meandered around, getting in the way. We cheated a little with local knowledge, but we did resort to the A-Z a few times, so probably looked like tourists there.<\/p>\n
We started with a bus journey into the city, and a walk to the Jewelley Quarter<\/a> and a look around some of the lovely old buidings, a failed visit to the museum (under refurbishment), just like our other target, Aston Hall, lunch in the Jeweller’s Arms<\/a> (not bad at all), and a visit to the 2 cemeteries<\/a> nearby (who says I don’t know a good time), and then a walk up past Icknield St School<\/a> and up Soho Rd to Soho House<\/a>.<\/p>\n From there, a bus ride back to the centre, more beer in an old haunt<\/a> and a nice Moroccan meal<\/a> at a place that hasn’t changed in 10 years, some more beer<\/a>, and a bus home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We spent yesterday as tourists in Birmingham.
