That&#8217;s an interesting talking point, but even without it the pub is worth a visit, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yeoldewhiteharte.com\/ye-olde-white-harte-pub-yorkshire\/history\/\">dating from 1550 (though much rebuilt)<\/a>. Inside is dark and traditional, but pleasant, and the beer was good, as were the staff.
