Inside is a bit stripped-out, and some presumably original beams are painted, which jarred a bit: it&#8217;s from the modern gastropub playbook of decor; all very smart and clean but a little soulless.<\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t take to this, though there was little to dislike, really.
