Shrewsbury, Shropshire:
Our first pub in Shrewsbury, as a couple of more hopeful ones nearby were shut.
Outside: typically Shrewsbury: historic looking. Inside, it’s been hit with the generic pubco interior designer stick, with too many high seats and faux-quirky objets. No food, there was real ale, but I got the impression the one Pedigree tap hadn’t seen action for a while, and let my curiosity get the better of me and had a pint of Kirin, which was fine if unexceptional. The wine was warm, too: we were offered ice with it :-/.
