I thought I’d check on updated firmware for my wireless access point today, (I logged into it to change the channel after my neighbours mentioned their internet connection slowed when I was using my wireless network!) and it seems it had a remote exploit. Just goes to show that you should vary admin user/password pairs over devices: If someone cracked the WEP encryption on this device (trivial) they could have read the username/password. Good job it’s unique to the WAP.
