One Night In Bilston

Makes a hard man humble.

Ok it was an afternoon, but couldn’t resist the line. Gold star to the first comment that gets the song and artist.

Yesterday we had another walk from Town Wharf in Walsall, carefully avoiding driving a car or walking into the canal basin, because even without the weeds it’s really easy to see how you might walk/drive over a 9 inch drop into water (*cough* [fuckwits]). We then joined the Walsall Canal, and walked through the delights of Pleck and Darlaston, leaving the canal at Moxley, and then going up the A41 to Bilston itself, and the Olde White Rose for the most impressive selection of ale outside of the beer festival. A couple of others too: The Trumpet, and the Greyhound & Punchbowl, then a walk to Willenhall, for another cheap and very good chinese meal, and a quick journey home courtesy of the 529 “chav express”.

  1. Something I’ve been meaning to say Mr B – how come there isn’t a search facility on this blog? It’s a right royal pain in the bunghole trying to find a blog entry to link to! 😉
