Having a bit of R&R. Spent yesterday (and a bit of today) painting the dining room. Rediscovering that

a) You should never, ever buy cheap(ish) own-brand paint, because it sucks.

b) Paint gets everywhere.

I might post a pic of the work in progress so Mr Sublimeproduct can take the piss again.

I need to get the room straight again: I miss my stereo: computer speakers suck bigtime, and the car stereo is only OK.

I’m listening to RadioY again, but while the music is OK (and it’s the internet radio station I’ve found with a bitstream sufficent for even acceptable quality) there’s a rather disturbing amount of Christian Rock which seems to me to be something only Americans could dream up. Average-sounding rock music, but with lyrics like a hymn book. Wierd. Now if only Virgin Radio or Kerrang! would get a decent stream in that didn’t sound like a off-tune AM radio played underwater, I’d listen to that.

Of course, I could just buy a bloody radio instead of using hundreds of pounds worth of laptop, wireless network and broadband internet to do something you could achieve with £5 worth of cheap electronics, but It’s hard to surf the web from a radio.
