Anyone knows I’m not a massive fan of Microsoft products, but more tolerate them. Yesterday was unusual as it involved Vista: we’ve made a decision to avoid it at work, and my computers here are just not powerful enough, and if they were, I don’t like the useless toys and widgets and the fact that it nags you every 5 minutes.

Anyway, a friend had buggered up his vista PC, so I reloaded it.

It. Took. All. Fecking. Night.

By the time it was installed, drivers installed, and patched. In fact, the wait for it to patch was why it was buggered: he got tired of waiting and pulled the plug. Up and running, it’s sort of OK with a lot of horsepower, but it’s sooooo bloated.
