Just watched Saving Britain’s Past, another of those programmes the BBC produces with the OU that makes you think that the licence fee may be worth it after all.

The first one explored Bath, and the plans to redevelop it that thankfully got halted in the 1970s, though not before the developers managed to wreck a lot of it, replacing nice old builings with hideous modern things. Not that that happens often.
