I have to say I agree with the Bumpkin: James May’s Toy Stories is superb, especially tonight’s Scalextric recreation of the Brooklands circuit. Lots of community involvment too, which was nice.

It was a night of excitement all round, with the nail-biting, edge of your seat drama provided by Young Butcher of the Year [ROFL] on BBC Three. This is the most unintentionally funny program of the year, with George Lamb proving he’s no better on the TV than the radio, and also the Masterchef style faux tension being even more out-of place.

“The shin was a bit slashed”
“I wouldn’t put beef like that in my window”
“We asked you to produce 10oz steaks, you produced 7oz steaks”

and better:

“You could have been a bit more adventurous with that”

and best of all, the double entendres:

“David and Justin are looking for mind blowing sausage”
“Our Butchers are busy mincing”
“Jim’s Sausage- very impressed with that”
“I had confidence in my sausage”

Fnarr Fnarr.

I hear Hay Head Wood is the place for that.
