I’ve been watching the extra bits of ‘Restoration‘ on BBc4- ‘Restoration Nation‘. There was a bit about Hornsea town hall- which is a glorious art-deco building. There’s a local campaign to stop Haringey council from selling it to a developer.
That’s all very applaudable, but not one of them could suggest how the coucil would actually pay to restore (or even maintain) the building. Council tax, perhaps 😉 ?
