Bloody Hell

This is not a political blog, in the main. It’s generally a personal one: my interests, and annoys or amuses me.

I’ve found things getting more political though. They say you become more right-wing as you get older, but I’m being pulled the opposite way, and the present, criminal government is only making this the only way to be.

They tried it with our forests, now they’re trying it with our blood.

Just where the hell do they intend to stop? This has nothing to do with what is good for the country or efficiency or good service: this is plain, simple, evil tory idealism.

I give blood, though I’ve not been good at keeping it up. I give blood because it’s a good thing to do and it may save someone’s life. Definitely not so someone can profit from it. I wish I could be more eloquent about this, word it better, but to be honest, I’m finding it hard to think about it because I’m so outraged.

Unite
have set up a petition against it. Now, whatever your views on trade unions, I’d urge you to sign this petition against an attack on one of the most important NHS functions: you never know when you or one of your family might need a blood transfusion: do you want that to involve profit for a private company?
