Instead of just whinging for a change, I’m going to actually blog on the subject of a pleasant weekend.

Starting on Friday, we sloped off from work early, for a weekend in Stratford-upon-Avon, and very nice it was too. The locals are friendlier than you might expect for some besieged by tourists (and the town was busy, even this early in the season. We stayed in a nice hotel, paid for with Tesco vouchers, we visited a few nice pubs, had very overpriced Thai food, and had a nice walk.

After our return, we had today off too, so refitting the summer tyres and a bit of gardening in the lovely spring weather was the order of the day. I’m aching after those activities (mostly from getting the wheels up and down from the cellar), so now it’s time for more beer 🙂
