After my experience upgrading this server to Debian sarge, I’d hoped to have an easy experience with my other server that deals with my email. It was not to be though. I was ready fro the whole LILO thing after last time, but had broken dependencies that took some fiddling with dpkg & apt.
The worst bit was the problems with uw-imapd. Seems it’s now not possible to have plaintext passwords for it, thanks to the ietf. This is A Good Idea over the Internet, but a pain in the arse over my LAN. I’m having trouble getting the excellent squirrelmail to play with the new imapd.
