McAffee have announced a linux worm in the wild. Strictly it’s not a Linux worm: It’s a website scripting worm- it needs an insecure, unpatched version of one of several scripts installed on a specific URL on a webserver, so to get hit I’d have to be running scripts that were affected, at the place the worm looks. So, this is the second ‘linux worm’ announced in the wild that isn’t really a linux worm, and relies on old versions of software in a sloppy configuration.
