Well, about a year ago it looks like I was wasting my time as the speed cushions have arrived in the surrounding streets, so:
No.7: A violent, unneccesarily painful death to anyone involved in the installation of speed humps or cushions: hell, any form of traffic calming. This must involve a rusty corkscrew and acid.
No.8: A trip to Golgafrincham for the wastes of space at Walsall MBC.
[*writes another letter to the councillors*]
Maybe you and the other residents who opposed the scheme should threaten the council with leagal action on the grounds they didn’t take any account of the democratic opinion of the residents – worked for us in the Linden Lane case. You really need your local councillor on board here – I got ours down with the residents in my house and told them we had carried out a survey and we wanted it stopped. We then went to the planning meeting and put forward our case adding that some of the residenst would take legal actionif they persisted. They backed off.
I do think though, that Walsall MBC are “speed cushion minded” and that is there only solution.
Anything I can do to help, let me know.
I’m convinced Walsall MBC have a ‘hate the car’ policy. Speedbumps, road closeure, stupid spepd limits, less parking. Needless to say, no response yet.
