I’ve been playing with a freeview USB TV dongle, at the stunningly cheap price when I got it of £22 including VAT and carriage. It’s even cheaper now, and works perfectly on our laptop, even with the tiny antenna supplied. Might be handy when travelling? Don’t know really, but it’s a cool toy. If you fancied the idea, you could make a hard-disk video recorder easily.

I have a ‘Freecom’ one of those but I find the reception to be less than perfect.
Nice tool for the price though. Mine lives in the notebook bag just in case I’m ever stuck in a caravan in Wales while it’s raining (or somewhere similar).
I like the delay feature on these too.
Ye, mine is in the laptop bag too, for a similar reason.
must resist, must resist,
although it it much more portable than my satelite dish on a tripod http://blog.species5618.net/?p=11
Why resist? It’s under 20 quid….
