This (extended) weekend saw us heading for the land of cloth caps and whippets to Flamborough, as we were celebrating 15 years of my dear Stymistress putting up with me, so a few days away seemed like a good thing. Remind her what good company I am :-).
Drive up had the event of young tool landing his Corsa (had to be) in a ditch and hedge immediatly after a blind overtake on the brow of a hill. Hopefully he’ll have had aenough of a scare to drive less like a prick.
It’s odd, but this seems to hold true- move north in the UK, and:
1. Beer is better.
2. Beer is cheaper.
3. Everything else is a bit cheaper too.
4. People get friendlier.
We did some drinking, some eating, some walking, and some sitting about. The last time I was in Flamborough, I was about 7. Like the taxi driver said
That was a few years ago then.
Thanks.
