He broke my watch…

Today we had a wander to complete our walk of the entire length of the Wyrley & Essington canal, (including all the navigable branches) just the last few miles around Goscote, including a pint or two at the Beacon Way and the Old House at Home. We only had to fill in the gaps between Harden Road (Leamore), and Lichfield Road (Bloxwich)- potentially the riskiest due to scumbags.

It was more pleasant than expected, and we finished off ny visiting MarkyB (and the sister-in-law) and breaking their garden furniture with my big fat ass.

All in all a good day 🙂

  1. Oooh I wish I knew how to post pics of the broken bench. Or the broken chair.

Just remember “it’s stronger up the other end”. A quote from my wife, the structural engineer!! She also worked on the Tahoma Straights Bridge:)

  2. My mate Major Orton and me did the disused stretch of the Curley last weekend and what a great bit it is too! You wouldn’t believe you were the Mossley Warzone. Let me know if you’re going to have a loom and I’ll join you as I’d like to have another go, either cycling or walking.
