Friday evening saw us in the company of our neighbours for a quiz at Essington Rugby Club, where we managed to not shame ourselves and come a respectable 3rd. When we arrived there was still a martial arts class taking place, so we hastened to Bumpkin’s Local for a swift one (no time to give you a bell, Andy) for a very respectable pint.

We were in later that evening. There was a massive village party at The MIn on Saturday which saw 18 gallon of Bombardier drunk in two sessions!
You should have let us know about the quiz – we would have put up a team! BTW, there is one on Wednesday at The Min if you want to join in! Let me know.
The Bombardier was very good. The quiz might have been short notice for you, but if you fancy it next time….
Wed is not a good night for me, plus I’m allergic to driving to a pub, especially one with good beer. Shame. I do like a quiz.
I agree about D & D as you know – I’ll always pick you up. Bombardier on a school night sounds risky but I might try it tonight as the Min has a St George’s Day quiz!
I think we’d be up for putting a team together next time. We usually go with my mate Dave and his family as “Little Bilston” so maybe we could do “Little Bloxwich” ?!
Thereby hangs the problem on a school night:
I will drink too much and stay up too late. It’s a foregone conclusion.
What happened to the days of yore when we did that all the time?! I hate this getting old malarkey – its cramping my drinking style! We used to go out every night and have a few beers and still go to work the next day!
We got old 🙁
