Yesterday, I thought I saw something small move in the dining room.
Then, I saw something not moving in the dining room.
We have mice. Meowth has finally started contributing to the household and killed one. Later, she trapped one in the vacuum cleaner hose, which resulted in me shaking a dazed mouse out of it on the doorstep (you get funny looks off people…), and then one came running out of a kitchen cupboard later.
Time for rodent genocide. I like rodents, but uninvited ones aren’t welcome, and I’m not driving to B&Q to get humane traps, so now 3 have met their mousey maker just about when they were hoping to go ‘nom nom nom‘ on some chocolate. This is better than last year’s fun, when the little sods took up residence in the void between our bedroom and the living room: setting traps under the floor is tricky, and when they go off in there it sounds like you’ve caught a bear.
Still got some rat traps here if your really want to make sure it snaps em.

The mousetraps are working pretty effectively: said meeces are pretty small. I guess they’re coming inside now the weather is colder.
Those rat traps are pretty damn vicious: I think they’d liquidise a mouse.

One of my old neighbours thought it would be more fun to shoot them with a high end air rifle….
Except that the ball bearing cored pellets he was using will pierce 22mm copper pipe, you know the big stuff that come of direct of the boiler.
Needless to say he found that bit out the hard way 🙂

No, can’t be, it was a .22 dart that I used.
Try a ultra sonic device from B & Q or a garden centre for £10.. Seems to have done the the trick out here in the countrie although we have caught quite a few outside the house near the compost heap. I’ve had to give that up though as we were trapping small birds as well.
