A walk in the park

Yesterday was spent walking around Hawkstone Park in Shropshire, in company of Big Sister, husband, and kids. It’s a nice place, with a moderate walk around that takes about 2.5-3 hours. We even had a reasonable drive out and back, given it was Sunday.

  1. Hawkstone Park, the Victorian Alton Towers.
I remember going through the cave groping section without a torch thinking it would only be marginally darker than outside, how wrong can you get!

It remains a chanllenge for the old and weary like me, if you make it up the hill from the car park with no heart attack its safe to continue.
