Last nigh I upgraded Exim on my main mailserver here. All went very smoothly, up until getting Spamassassin working. Debian’s package manager upgraded it and had it working very very quickly, but then the hand-configured bits for Exim took some tweaking to get going, but at least if you read the logs, it tells you what’s wrong, unlike some mail systems I could mention.
