We’ve gone and upgraded our mobile phones: as part of a contract essentially subsidises the handset, you’d have to be a loon not to.
My Criteria: Small, light, battery life, bluetooth.
The Stymistress’s criteria: Battery life, Flip, Pink(!).
Anyway, now we have 3G-Capable phones that we can annoy people on the bus with, and as an interesting aside I think Rammstein‘s industrial metal provides a nice foil to the shite usually played on mobile phones, so on it goes.
Why in God’s name do the phones these days have so many features? Like I said, I want a phone that fits in my pocket easily, doesn’t need charging all the time, and has bluetooth, but that means I have a MP3 player, camera, PDA (of sorts), and walrus polisher*
Anyway, this now means I need a CF Bluetooth card for my Zaurus as one feature that has gone for good is an IR port. Ho Hum.
*some features may be ficticious.
Ah the pink phone for the missus,
been there, except my wife, does not like ANY of the current designs, except the orange blush, and orange want £200 for that on her price plan
My SonyEricsson came free, her Samsung £50, but
a)She likes it.
b)The battery life is good- she forgets to charge it.
I didn’t have one of the Samsungs because of the woeful battery life. All that colour screen and processor power sucks batteries. My old Nokia 6210 could go a week and a half on a charge…..
