Today I used last Christmas’s present and went to drive soeone else’s Discovery around a muddy field, and very good fun it was too. Acclerating to go slower, braking to go faster, axle-deep in mud. Finding out how (and how not) to hillstart off road, and avoiding the bemused sheep. The drive there was Ok too: reasonable M40, and some nice NSL roads not choked with traffic around Gaydon.
Almost (but not quite) made up for the sidewall cut in one tyre from Walsall’s shitty roads the other day. Now just how much are Continental Sport Contact in 205/45 16 again? Far too much. Wheel looks OK though.

The answer is: not much change from £100 :-(. At least it was 3/4 worn.
Off road days are fantastic, done two over the years
Driving at 3MPH up a 40 degrees incline or up to the sills in mud is just so much fun
