This is a bit overdue: Not last week, but the week before, we went to the cinema and saw Serenity: a very fine film. We went after work, and so ended up at the Cineworld at Rubery. It’s quite nice: It makes our local Showcase look pretty sick: to be honest, though, that’s not that hard- our cheapish TV/DVD/Dolby digital setup makes the showcase look sick too. It’s a bit worrying that you get trailers about how we should all see films at the cinema, and then suffer sound and picture quality (especially sound) worse than consumer-grade electronics at home. Oh, and sticky carpet and crap seats. Makes me wondre if the drive over to Star City might be worthwhile?
